Match Options has joined the UKHCA  Skills for care  Workforce Development  fund partnership.

The Workforce Development Fund (WDF) for 2012-13 is a funding stream from the Department of Health disseminated by Skills for Care. It focuses on the achievement of qualification units and supports the ongoing professional development of staff across the adult social care sector.

The fund is distributed by Skills for Care via a network of employer led partnerships and large national organisations:

The fund can only be utilised by adult social care providers that employ social care staff within England.


What will be funded?

Funding is calculated on the credit size of the unit for the Qualifications and Credit Framework - in 2012-2013 a credit will be funded at £15 pounds. The QCF units vary in size between 1 and 12 credits so the amount of funding that can be claimed ranges from £15 to £180 per unit.

NVQ units continue to be funded at £80. The proportion of NVQ units included in each contract awarded will be a maximum of 30% of the total contract value.
